Neither the dealership or their warranty company cover a blown cylinder head which is part of the power train. $6500 in repairs later, another dealership said they don't have issues with warranties like this from other places. ”
“ I bought a 2014 Toyota Prius here a couple months back. Within 400 miles of purchasing, a check engine light came on. I put my reader in the vehicle and got the code. After informing the salesman of the situation, he said it was a common issue with this year and all I needed to do was replace the gas cap. After replacing the old gas cap with a brand new one, I was still left with the check engine light on and some even more worry some issues - revving up when idling and shaking. I texted the salesman back once more to let him know his ‘fix’ didn’t 3work. I did not receive a response. I understand that when buying a used vehicle it is ‘as is’. However, I find it a little odd that WITHIN 400 miles off the lot I am left with roughly a $1,000 fix. I truly hope they did not use their authority as a dealership to erase the code thinking ‘it wasn’t a big deal’. I hate leaving negative reviews, but am left with a bad taste in my mouth and no further communication with them. Besides the above, I had talked with the salesman on over the phone and when asked if there was anything cosmetically wrong he replied ‘no, other than maybe a few scratches and door dings’. I found the door dings and scratches when I arrived and was still happy enough with the price point that I deemed the purchase still worth it. After a 3 hour drive back and a few days worth of driving it and getting in and out, I noticed a portion of the side mirrors plastic casing was broken off, the drivers wheel well cover missing and the passenger’s wheel well cover broke. This bothers me mostly because of the fact that when you’re a certified dealer I’d assume some level of trustworthiness, which I was not given. Overall, the cosmetic issues wouldn’t have made me give a negative review, but everything piled together created a very poor experience for me. ”

“ I would say it was easily the strangest experience in trying to trade vehicles. I wanted to get ball park numbers to trade over the phone before I took the time to get an appointment and go to Carroll but that was refused. They explained that they needed to see the vehicle even though it was one year old with 6000 miles. I agreed and drove to Carroll and the vehicle was never examined or driven. The only request was for the registration. They took copies of it and I requested to talk business. Reluctantly they offered me 8000 below KBB trade in Value and tried to sell me a used Vehicle for 2000 more than an equivalent new one. Obviously I was disgusted and chose to leave. Since then I have literally been laughing about the experience because the staff and management will be all new in a couple weeks anyway and I won’t be back anyway. It’s kinda sad because I bought a new vehicle from that location in 2014 and it was actually a pretty good experience. If I could award 0 stars in this circumstance I certainly would but it won’t let me so 1 will have to do. The only thing they really wanted was to get my name on a waiting list for a vehicle and not guarantee me any pricing. Sounds like fancy Car dealer tricks. All the risk on me and none on them. ”
